At the party in metropolitan opera on Monday night, an unknown champion was rising among the flowers-covered dresses (gigi hadid, Jordan Ross), nude skirts (emily ratajkowski, jennifer lopez) and wet T-shirts (Doka Cat). The humble suit-often underestimated and neglected-has been infinitely re-imagined this year.
JG Ballard's 1962 short story Time Garden pays tribute to the dress code of the event in various forms.
Lewis hamilton, a Formula One driver, and Nicolas Galicina, an actor, were dressed in Burberry and Fendi respectively. "Challenger" co-stars Mike feaster and Josh O'Connor both appeared in the brand-the brand is the official clothing supplier of the film and part of the sponsor of metropolitan opera-wearing the brand's unique eccentric charm. Faist wears a crocheted radish brooch, which not only caters to the horticultural theme of the event, but also caters to the general demand for fresh vegetables in the fashion world; O 'Connor paired his long tuxedo with a lovely pair of printed cotton clogs. Met Gala host, Bad Bunny, was one of the first to arrive onto the carpet in a custom Maison Margiela ensemble complete with shades, leather gloves and a blackened bouquet fashioned from the same fabric as his suit. Coleman Domingo similarly finished off his billowing Willy Chavarria suit with black-rimmed eyes and a drooping bunch of wistful white lilies. But flowers are just a way to interpret Ballard's story. In a noble villa in Palladia, some participants chose the idea of honing court clothes.

Actor taika waititi is wearing an all-leather suit from head to toe, while Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne may have just made her debut with his wife in a matching nude suit. But one thing is certain, after last night, the tailoring will never be the same again.
