& mdash; On Sunday, no one thought of this new face in the church where Jesus lived. The tight-knit congregation outside Pittsburgh often welcomes guests. Pastor Glenn Devon thinks this young man is a friend of a parishioner.

At that time, Germany was giving a sermon about "Walking on God's Road". The young man in a black T-shirt calmly stepped onto the rostrum, raised a gun in Germany's face and pulled the trigger.

The priest's mind froze. But his body started to act.

Germany covered her head with her hands and hid behind the podium. The live video of the church captured this horrible scene.

Clarence McCallister, the deacon behind the camera, saw the gunman aiming at the German head and pulling the trigger about 20 feet away. But no shots were heard. "The bullet got stuck in the gun barrel. The gun actually jammed, "mcallister told CNN.

But before the gunman had a chance to shoot again, former cross-country runner mcallister sprinted from behind his tripod, jumped over a wooden railing and landed on the pulpit-where he quickly threw the gunman to the ground.

Then he told gunman that forgave him. 第2张Clarence mcallister climbed over the railing to fight a gunman at the Church of Jesus' Residence in North Brock, Pennsylvania. Reverend Glenn Deventer /TMX realized that he hadn't been shot. He peeked from behind the podium and then rushed over to help mcaleese specially suit the attacker.

"He didn't really fight," Germany said.

Therefore, once mcallister snatched the gun, the priest could control the suspect himself while waiting for the police to arrive.

The priest asked the gunman why he did it. "He told me that ghosts had entered his brain," said Germany.

Just then, the two exchanged surprising words.

"Listen, I'm not angry with you," the priest told the gunman. "I understand. I want you to know I love you. "

The gunman said he was sorry. He apologized to me, "Germany said.

Subsequently, the priest sent an invitation to the man who almost ended his life.

"I just told him that if you need anything, this is my name and get in touch with me. During your (imprisoned) period, I will help you as much as possible. "

Police rushed to the scene and detained Bernard junior Puulaid, a 26-year-old suspect. The priest said that they also checked the gun and showed it to Germany.

In fact, one bullet was left in the chamber. "You can see the dent where the bullet got stuck," Germany said.

The priest said he was dealing with the trauma well, but his daughter was depressed when she learned that her father was almost killed.

"The thing that hurts me the most is ... watching her go through pain," Fred said. So he took her to a restaurant with games to help her divert her attention from the tragedy.

Germany said that he is now with the suspect's family. Hours after Sunday's church terror, police found the body of 56-year-old Derek Puulaid in Bernard Puulaid's home.

Authorities say Derek Puulaid, who was shot, is a relative of Bernard Puulaid. But the police did not disclose the relationship between these people.

Allegheny County Police told CNN that as of Tuesday morning, the death of Derek Preite was still under investigation and no charges had been filed.

According to court records, Bernard Puulaid is still in detention because of the church incident and charged with attempted criminal murder, serious injury and reckless endangerment. It is not clear whether he has a lawyer. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Monday.

As for the priest, Germany said that he was alive thanks to "the way of God"-that's why he survived when a man pulled the trigger in front of him.

"Most people say this is a miracle. But I think this is God's way. If you follow the path God wants you to follow, you will be protected by God, "Germany said.

"I have seen God. He manages angels and jamming guns for you. I know it sounds scary, but ... I owe it to him. "
